Bader and Arraez Join the Giants

The Giants signed Harrison Bader to a two-year, $20.5 million deal. Bader will be playing in center, shifting Jung Hoo Lee over to right, and Ramos staying in left. Last season, Bader batted .277 with 17 home runs and 54 runs batted in, which would’ve ranked amongst the Giants' top hitters in 2025. Another move came from the Giants on Saturday. 2022, 2023, and 2024 batting champion Luis Arraez signed a 1-year, $12 million deal. Arraez has filled the missing piece the Giants were looking for in the infield. Arraez will play 2nd base, displacing Casey Schmitt. These two players will significantly improve the Giants' offense due to their ability to get on base. Looking ahead, signing a high-level pitcher is a must for the Giants. The Giants' strong pitchers Webb and Ray will need support in the rotation as well as more depth in the bullpen. Zach Gallen is still available, and the Giants have recently been linked to Framber Valdez from the Astros. Getting a strong arm could push the Giants to be more than a .500 team in 2026.
